I choose china so far ok. It is a bit tinted and it is missing the peugeot symbol at the bottom lefthand of the windscreen.

Fixing a Bi-Fold Door

It is common to have a Bi-Fold door install as a toilet door. It is flexible, space saver and water resistance. After a while 3 to 4 years depend on your usage the Bi-Fold door will become stuck and not easy to fold. Most of the time this is due to the broken roller at the bottom of the door.

Broken Roller

I have been asking around for a replacement part. Unfortunately it is not available. Most hardware stores suggest me to replace the door. I found a quick fix to the problem.


Step 1: Dismantle the door from it frame. 

The door hook at the frame at 4 parts. They are the rollers. 2 are moving and another 2 are fixed. The roller guide is adjustable by a spring. You can push inwards to take the guide off the rail. Do that to all the 4 rollers. Take down the door and lay it down on the floor.


Step 2: Swap the rollers.

All rollers can be pull out from the door and they are all the same. Swap the faulty roller with the ok one (You can swap with the fixed roller). After you done put back the door to it frame. And your door will function as new

Peugeot 5008 Car Battery Replacement

Recently I sent my car Peugeot 5008 for a service and I was advised by the mechanic to replace my car battery. This is after almost 2 years. The last time changed after 1 and 1/2 year. I asked what will be the total cost for a replacement, he said around RM500 ++. Last time it cost me around RM455 and it took me 1/2 a day to get my battery replace. The car battery was DELKOR DIN60L.

I think it is quite expansive. I decided to get it changed some where else. It is very hard for me to find the car battery size DIN60L. I search around and I found this service from internet http://baterikeretamurah.blogspot.com/. I contacted one of the agent and he told me they don't have size DIN60L (this is for brand Century, Bosch and GP Maintenance Free). 

I search around and open-up my car battery cover which not straight forward for the first time, however I managed do it. I found that with size DIN60L there are still some spaces around 4 cm in length for the battery holder. After finding out the DIN66L battery measurement, I believe my car can fit DIN66L size battery. So I decided to call them up and get the replacement with DIN66L size battery. It fits nicely and work perfect. The best thing it cost me RM310 with no service charge.

getting refund from apple "in-app purchased"

Recently I bought a game from app store for my kid to play with. After the purchased I forgot to remove my credit card number from Itune - I usually do this in all my online purchase. After few days I got SMS alert from maybank credit card that I used my card to make few in-app purchased from app store. Luckly maybank send me the alert. I am a bit furious !!! the total amounted to about USD100. I am not sure how this could happen. After some investigation my kid told me that while playing with the game he clicked on some buttons that caused some transaction "in-app purchased". This is not good and it is not fair for consumers. I want to get refund from apple. So what can we do:

WE HAVE 3 OPTIONS:
Option 1:
You can go to your itune and look for your purchased history. this is like try to find needle in haystack.

Option 2:
Email apple support: go to this page http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/


Option 3:
1. Wait for the receipt for your purchased from apple through email.
login to icloud email. https://www.icloud.com/#mail

2. Look for the receipt

3. open the email and click on the "Report a problem"

4.a It will bring you to a Itune webpage. Please login using your icloud login info.

4.b.  And choose a problem category: "I didn't unauthorized This Purchase" with explanation your kid click on the purchase button without your consent. 

5. Apple will record the problem and email the notification:

6. In couple of days they will email you. Apple will be glad to refund you back for unintentional purchased.

problem that I face with IE8 and firefox:

IE8:

1. after i login to the online webpage, when I choose "other services" at the toolbar, I couldn't see the pull down menu. it just show white space. Don't know how to fix this.

Firefox:

1. when i login, i can choose the "other services" at the toolbar and i can see the pull down menu items. but when i choose "cash withdrawal" and "new request" a new browser open for a second and it disappear.

2. Anyway i manage to write down the url. What I did I open another browser tab from the same browser that i run my maybank2u online and i go to the url:

1st Day of the Conf...

How do i sum-up my 1st day? 

1. Registartion someone screw-up and I have to pay.

2. Opening Plenary: as expected first 1/2 by the organizer talking about their NGI. After attending several conf on grid, one important factor that has been excluded in our initiative is the network infrastructure. The rest of the word has been so advance with multiple 10G connectivity. We might want to consider a collaboration with HSBB operator together with other local grid site, this can be use as the HSBB POC. 2nd 1/2 the sponsors.

from kl to dubai to istanbul

It was a long journey. Nevertheless it's a new experience for me to visit this region. I took off from KLIA around 12 am and reached Dubai at 3 am. My first impression Dubai ground crews are very rude. My connecting flight to Istanbul is at 7 am. Got a lot of time.

During this experience I meet upon a lady Col. Norhuda. We'r from the same flight and heading to Istanbul but her final destination is Ankara. She is working with southeast asia regional center for counter - terrorism. Well this is new to me. By the way her job is not like we used to watch in the western films. She's doing research and publication. paper and pen. We had a nice chat to kill our time. I was explaining to her about grid computing, it's tough. I am not balme her, this is even a tough subject for other people to understand.

Sep 21, 2008:
I reached Istanbul at 7:00 am. The place is very deserted. not many people. I believe our flight is the 1st flight to reach istanbul this morning. Unlike dubai 3:00 am there is very lively and crowded. but the problem with dubai with suach a small airport with a lot of passanger, it's very hard to find a place to sit. A lot of people sitting and sleeping on the floor. So not very organized.
I took a cab from the airport to the hotel. Quite expensive. 50 Lira. I reached the hotel around 1:00 pm. According to reviews the hotel suck badly, but as I walk in I think the hotel is ok with free internet connection. The room is also not as bad. I have choosen this place is because it is within my company budget and nearby to the conference hall. 10 min walk.

I had sahur in dubai araound 3:00 am and my breaking fast in turkey will be around 7:00 pm. Take into account the time difference this is a very long fasting day for me. I had a skye with my family just now. my kids miss me and i miss them also. anyway as I am sitting alone in my hotel room I found I have more time. that is why I took this opportunity to write this entry.
